The Ritz Carlton Residences is a condominium development in Miami Beach. Built in 1967, the original 6 building complex served as the Miami Heart Institute before being reconstructed into the 110-unit luxury complex that stands there today. With the tallest building standing at 10 storeys, the complex is characterized by wrap around glass balconies, canopied roofs, and dedicated outdoor amenities and greenery space at the roof levels.
Pro-Bel Technical Solution
With the majority of the building consisting of wrap around balconies; this multi-structure complex only required fall protection for safe roof access and a few safety roof anchors for window cleaning drops on a bosons chair (rope descent systems) that couldn’t be cleaned from the balconies themselves. Thus, our team designed dedicated fall protection roof anchors and horizontal lifeline systems throughout the entire complex. A total of 11 horizontal lifeline systems on levels 5, 7, 8 and 9 provide safe access for workers accessing these roofs. The anchors installed part of the fall protection anchor systems include adhesive wall anchors, bolt through roof anchors, and cast in place anchors.
