Permanent Roof Anchor

Safety & Tie Back Anchors

Permanent roof or tieback anchors are a trusted method of securing fall protection systems that ensure rooftop workers’ safety when working at a dangerous height. These reliable devices can serve two functions: as part of a rooftop fall protection system or for suspended access. Although they're most commonly associated with fall protection, they can also be used as suspended access for mid-rise buildings or buildings with a drop distance of under 90 meters.

Secure Your Rooftop Work with Top-Quality Permanent Roof Anchors

When used for fall protection, the rooftop anchor points secure workers to the roof’s surface via a horizontal lifeline, restricting them from approaching too close to the roof edge. On buildings over 1 story with a parapet below 42 inches, this permanent roof anchor solution eliminates the chance of a fall ever occurring.

Roof anchors are used for suspended access on buildings with a drop distance below 90 meters. The anchor points used for suspension are lined up near the roof edge, with additional anchor points lined up perpendicularly at an offset angle to host the worker’s lifeline.

Why Choose Our Roof Anchors?

Pro-Bel doesn’t simply sell roof anchors- we’re a full turnkey company. We design, engineer, manufacture, install, and inspect our equipment. We patented the first roof anchor in North America, and it’s been a staple in the industry ever since. Our permanent roof anchors can serve many functions, such as:

  • The anchorage point of a horizontal lifeline system
  • As a suspended access system for buildings under 90 meters
  • Acting as a single point anchor to tie-off to when approaching a davit system on the roof edge
  • A structural attachment for lifelines when the main suspension system is a different form of equipment.

When do you need to inspect anchors?

Roof tie-back anchors and other fall protection systems must be inspected and maintained regularly. Here’s what you need to know:

Inspection Frequency:

Adhere to OSHA regulations for annual roof anchor inspections and ensure compliance with all safety standards. If an accident occurs on a rooftop anchorage system that has not been inspected for over a year, the building owner or property manager will be held fully liable.

Recertification:

Adhesive roof anchors need recertification every 5 years, and non-adhesive roof anchors, unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer, require recertification every 10 years.

What Roof Anchor Recertification Entails:

To get recertified, a professional must load test the equipment by applying the maximum weight to the anchors. If the anchors can withstand that weight, they’ll be recertified.
